RE: Our new HSV engine and 6 spd gearbox

After deciding against purchasing a new Monaro in Canberra we agreed to purchase an HSV R8 engine and 6 speed gearbox that we saw on the All Parts & Panels website. As part of the deal we were to trade in our existing V8 and automatic gearbox so we headed for Adelaide without really knowing what we were getting ourselves into.

When we arrived, all we can say is the guys at All Parts & Panels were amongst the most professional and helpful people we have ever encountered in all our years of dealing with mechanical workshops. One engine came out and the other was in and running within 5 days and we were on our way.

As we had a 1200 km drive home, we were constantly reassured by the checking and rechecking of all components and being kept in the loop with progress reports. Not once did the engine give us cause for concern on the trip home and we certainly gave it a good workout.

People in Canberra told us we were crazy to go so far to get the work done, but we felt positive from the email and phone contact we had previous to the trip, and I would drive there without an instant of hesitation again if needed.

So once again, congratulations to everyone involved and if you are considering getting some parts or having an engine installed, ring All Parts & Panels for a great all round experience. We will be dealing with you guys again, and certainly hope that others see this and other testimonials and become customers.

Re Recent Purchase of Vehicle (Ford XR8)

Tony & I would like to convey our gratitude and complete delight with regard to our recent vehicle purchase.

The car (our "BB") is everything we'd hoped for and more, and, as you stated "cannot be faulted". It's now 2 months since we purchased the vehicle and we are still shaking our head in believe at the bargain we feel we've got.

On the 5-12-2000 I purchased an XR8 sprint engine from you guys, sight unseen. The engine was delivered promptly and neatly packaged. I was told that if anything was missing then I would only had to ring and it would be sent to me for no charge.

However it has taken me 8 months to get it to the stage where i could send it to the auto electrician where he discovered 2 small parts were missing, after a phone call the missing parts were sent to the Auto electrician  in Melbourne at no cost as promised eight months later.

Thank you for your prompt service and integrity, It is much appreciated hope fully we will do business again in  the future.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for participating in the work experience program in 2002. I enjoyed thoroughly my time at work and was grateful to be given the opportunity to work independently on a number of various and interesting tasks.  I was extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to work on a number of newer makes and models and now I understand more thoroughly the parts and components of later model vehicles. My time at All Panels and Parts was above expectation and has given me a more positive  outlook toward the automotive industry. Although I may not embarking on a career directly within the automotive industry I will most definitely be joining the Defence Forces where I will hopefully become a mechanic or technician of some sort. I would like to thank also the entire staff of All Panels and Parts whom I found extremely helpful, and were constantly willing to go out of their way to make my time more understandable and enjoyable. It was a new experience for me to work in an adult environment and it was a task that I found extremely rewarding and enlightening.
